Guests are a short walk from 2 extraordinary museums created by the Lungarotti family, one devoted to wine and the other to olive oil. With the fascinating historic hill towns of Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Orvieto and Gubbio also nearby as destinations for day trips, it is the ideal spot to stay while enjoying the splendors of the Umbria region of Italy. This 17th-century building offers both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, plus spacious rooms with original features. Each room has thick stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. They all offer free Wifi and a flat-screen satellite TV. The wellness centre includes a gym and sauna. Le Melogrante restaurant serves typical Umbrian dishes and fine local wines.
