The Pier House

Located in St. Austell, Cornwall, this historic hotel is situated on the picturesque harbour of Charlestown. It enjoys stunning views of the port and coastline of St. Austell Bay. The hotel and restaurant was built in 1794 and was originally two farm cottages. It became a farmhouse after the Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851. Then the occupants at the farm started taking in paying guests as farming prosperity declined before the First World War until the farm once again became a hotel. There are 26 rooms in total. It has a lobby, reception, 24-hour check-out service, a bar, restaurant and room service. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car. There are different styles of room ranging from standard singles right up to superior doubles with spa bath and sea views. Family rooms and twin rooms also feature. All are en suite, and come with a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, central heating, a colour TV, Internet access and a direct dial telephone. An ironing set, double or king-size beds and individually regulated air conditioning are also provided. Sun parasols are provided. The nearest golf course is just under 3 km away.
