In the heart of this region, the doors of our hotel in Katwoude first opened on April 21, 1973, built by the Van der Valk family. Later, With pride, we have transformed the foundations laid by our family into a renewed, warm, luxurious, comfortable and sustainable hotel. Whatever the occasion, you are welcome with us—right in the middle of nature! Surrounded by water, meadows and canals, the story of the region is reflected throughout the hotel. Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with personal service at Restaurant ZYLT. Treat yourself to coffee with pastries at Café & Patisserie Zoetwaeter adn enjoy a sparkling cocktail at Bar 1480. This region is rich in history and charm. Explore the historic fishing village of Volendam, famous for smoked eel and traditional Dutch costumes. Visit lively Amsterdam for the city’s iconic highlights, events and modern museums. Nearby, you will also find the picturesque towns of Monnickendam, Edam, Hoorn, Zuiderwoude, and the shores of the IJsselmeer—all surrounded by scenic polders and waterways. After a day full of exploration, it is time to relax in one of our new rooms, equipped with a comfortable bed and refreshing shower.
