Nestled on the banks of the Arno River in the Tuscan countryside, Villa La Massa offers a tranquil escape just 5 miles from Florence's historic center and Ponte Vecchio. Surrounded by 25 acres of picturesque parkland with lemon and olive groves, this seasonal hotel (reopening March 16, 2022) provides a perfect retreat after a day exploring the city. A private shuttle runs daily to and from Ponte Vecchio. The hotel's 51 rooms are spread across five historic buildings: Villa Nobile, the Mill, the Villino, Casa Colonica, and the Limonaia. The first two showcase Renaissance splendor with canopied beds, frescoes, tapestries, silks, and brocades, while the others offer contemporary Florentine elegance. Casa Colonica can be rented for exclusive use, ensuring complete privacy. Guests can enjoy a stylish new swimming pool amidst fragrant olive groves and cypress trees, lunch at L'Oliveto bistrot, and refined Tuscan dining at Il Verrocchio Restaurant. The Arno Spa offers treatments infused with local scents. Cooking lessons, wine tastings, and personalized service enhance the experience. Owned and managed by the Villa d'Este Group, Villa La Massa is also available for private events.
